Courtney Hope Britt

Chairman

In July 2021 Courtney Hope Britt became the second woman to hold the position of National Chairman of the College Republican National Committee and the first to obtain it by election. Prior to that, she served College Republicans as the Southern Regional Vice Chairman and the Virginia federation chairman.

Outside College Republicans, Courtney has worked on numerous campaigns (including a state house race won by 124 votes in 2017). She later worked for the Republican Party of Virginia’s General Counsel to ensure fair elections across the Commonwealth and for the Virginia Senate Republican Caucus as the Research & Policy Director.

Courtney graduated from John Tyler Community College with a degree in science, from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in philosophy and French and from the University of Richmond with her Juris Doctor.  She is an active member of the Junior League of Richmond.
