Chandler Thornton elected National Chairman of the College Republican National Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Chandler Thornton was elected unanimously to serve as Chairman of the CRNC at the 62nd Biennial Convention of the College Republican National Committee.

Chandler is originally from Maryland, and first became involved in College Republicans at American University. He then served as Chairman of the DC Federation of College Republicans, and most recently as Northeast Regional Vice Chair for the National Committee. He holds both a B.A. in Political Science and an M.P.A. from American University and is a graduate of the Campaign Management Institute and the European Public Affairs and Advocacy Institute.

“We must champion conservative policy solutions that create positive change for the American people and resonate with young voters who will champion them at the ballot box. On college campuses, which are supposed to be the epicenters of intellectual freedom, we must fight for free speech, open dialogue, and political tolerance.”

In the coming months, the CRNC will be announcing it’s plans for the upcoming 2017 and 2018 elections.
