May 14, 2012 – Washington, DC – The College Republican National Committee and the Young Republican National Federation have partnered with American Crossroads and the Republican State Leadership Committee to launch an unprecedented youth initiative, Crossroads Generation, to mobilize young voters in 2012.
Crossroads Generation, which will be structured as an Independent Expenditure Only Committee (SuperPAC), will begin with an initial $750,000 in start-up capital. The project is funded through CRNC, RSLC, and American Crossroads, which have each contributed $250,000 to the project.
With young people facing high unemployment, a grim job market and record high student loan debt, the youth vote is up for grabs.
Crossroads Generation will tap into the CRNC’s membership of more than 250,000 college students on over 1,800 campuses nationwide and the YRNF’s membership of 100,000 young professionals throughout the country.
“President Obama won young people in 2008 with a message of hope and change that just did not pan out. My generation has been disproportionately hurt by the policies of President Obama, which is precisely why we need Crossroads Generation,” CRNC Chairman Alex Schriver said.
“The college students who voted for President Obama four years ago are now recent graduates who are 53% un- or under-employed. These young professionals are desperate for economic policy that can deliver a pro-business, pro-job environment that can help them establish themselves as they look to build careers and families,” said Lisa Stickan, Chairman of the Young Republican National Federation.

I have been a young Republican for four years I am 21 years old but I never got into the hopy changy bs so the Republicans have my vote for life.
Does anyone actually buy this crap? The repubs keep voting to make the youngest generations pay for their faults. Medicare Part D, 10 years of Medical bills from 3 million soldiers returning from 2 wars, Social Security we will never see.
the GOP is the problem, this is a joke.
What a great event the Plymouth County GOP hosted in Rockland on 11/10!! There were over 300 Republicans on hand to liestn to all of our candidates. Gov candidates Charlie Baker and Christy Mihos, US Sen cadidates Sen Scott Brown of Wrentham and Jack E. Robinson of Duxbury and several congressional candidates, reps, and incumbants. All gave compelling speeches and motivated the party. We had a strong showing present from the Scituate Town Committee and I want to thank each of you for being there. A special thanks goes to Karen Barry of the Plymouth County GOP for putting it all togather. She is a true star in our Party and we are so very fortunate to have her. If we all could capture even just a little of her energy, we will rebuild our Party in little time! All Scitate Rs we need you and would like you to attend our next meeting on 12/1 at 7 pm at the GAR Hall.
A lot of the people who are disillusioned by obama were hoping that he would be more of a staunch supporter of the working class. Those people are going to be very supportive of left-wing politics (and the notion that social/economic classes are a *bad* thing) and highly unlikely to get behind right-wing politicians (who by definition strongly support the existence of social and economic classes).
A lot of people are angry because there is an insurmountable gap between the people who were born with wealth and those who were not. Insurmountable being the key word.
I don’t know how the republican party, who frequently speaks of how we need to make things easier on the upper class, intends to capture young voters who aren’t already republicans.
To Janet & the entire Town Committee, You guys rock! Thank you from the boottm of my heart for all the stand outs over the weekend at the dump and rotary. You have restored my hope in the Republican Party. You guys are a determined force and I hope and pray that Scott does it today. Thank you and God bless America!!
